Week 4

This is my post for Week 4 but I'm taking the time here to say that I've covered all the necessary hours of Lynda videos. I've added up all the info from my Certificates of completion to conclude I've watched a total of 16 hours and 18 minutes. Thanks Trish, although it felt like way too much at first, I appreciate having gotten to use this and find out a few new things along the way.

Sincerely,
Christian V.

Week 3

Villagomez_Christian_UpandRunningwithPrezi_07

Let's see, perhaps it's cause I sort of was getting tired of old standard powerpoints but I heard so much of Prezi being the next logical advancement in presentations that I just felt I needed to get in on that movement, so I went and learned how to use it with this video.

What was on my mind at the time I watched this panel video was about how does a producer do his or her job? Or at the least some insight and experiences so I can get a better idea where they come from.

Week 2

Villagomez_Christian_NarrativeSceneEditing
withPremierePro_04
As an eager film student, I hope to be as informed as possible in just about every part of it. I've learned a bit on how to edit them on iMovie '11 but the Premiere Pro is more of the serious professional type you'll be expected to use so the better to learn about it.

 Villagomez_Christian_CreativeSpark:KristaDonaldson
 SocialInnovationDesigner_05
This was mainly one of those courses I found while looking around, it's a nice little look into a philosophy of sorts-- the mechanics in what goes into a usual business but then choosing to adjust it for the sake of better, social purposes (such as targeting your products toward those who statistically need it more first.)

Villagomez_Christian_MigratingfromWord08forMactoWord11
I want to know more about how to use the Word program on my Mac because I might as well since it's going to basically be what I'll be using for a long time. And I did pick up a few tricks to it, so that's a good thing.

Week 1

Villagomez_Christian_iMovie11EssentialTraining_01

As someone specifically in the Film program for the reasons of wanting to be in it, this course, without a doubt, has been the biggest help for me. It explains the specifics in getting parts done faster and then there's finding the advanced tools needed for anybody hoping to eventually master this program for the work.

Villagomez_Christian_BuildingYourProfessionalNetwork_02

This multi-part video on building your career connections is seriously one that's an honest reflection of what tethers between personal relationships and the chance coincidences that can turn to job opportunities for you.

With the knowledge I gotten out of this thing, I most definitely can't call myself clueless when it comes to this program anymore. That said, this program will most likely be something I've got to use from time to time when it comes to audio-related aspects of my work. And I will keep many lessons learned here to heart, because although it was a lot to take in at first, at least it was taught as fluently as possible in terms of flow.
